Our Mission
3-D Dance Studios' mission is to encourage, empower and promote a healthy lifestyle through dance in order to help all children and adults reach for the stars and the moons. Our goal is to instill discipline and confidence in all individuals.
3-D Dance Studios (formerly Daphne's Divine Dance) encompasses an array of dance styles - Hip Hop, African, Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Contemporary, Lyrical, Latin, Salsa, Acro, Drum and Adult Fitness. Classes are for children and adults - starting with 2 year olds up to adults.
3-D Dance Studios is an award winning performing arts school with several wins with the following competitions - McDonald's Gospelfest, Legacy and TurnIt Up just to name a few. In addition, we have performed for many groups, organizations and dignitaries.

Our Director
Daphne Williams is the artistic director behind the 3-D Dance Studios (formely Daphne's Divine Dance) school. Williams has vast performing arts experience including; The National Black Theatre of Harlem, "Showtime At The Apollo" and Williams toured with Warner Brothers with David Peaston. Ms. Williams was one of four dancers asked to represent Long Island in the Huntington Arts Council's production of "From The Horses Mouth". She was the choreographer for "Platanos and Collard Greens" currently playing in Manhattan. She has worked with the award winning Long Island Voices with Mary Sharpe and the Gemini Chorale with Jerry Ulrich. She is also a member of the Long Island Dance Consortium. She has served as grant panelist for the New York State Council of the Arts Decentralization Program Suffolk County. Most recently Ms. Williams had the opportunity work with world-renowned choreographer, Rennie Harris on a film project.
Williams became a professional performer while in high school living in her hometown of Detroit, Michigan as a member of the Clifford Fears Dance Theatre. Williams was a regular dancer on a local dance show in Detroit, "The Scene" and has worked for Broadway playwright the late Ron Milner's "Work or Don't Let Your Attitude Intrude".
She received her BA in Telecommunications from Michigan State University and studied British Mass Media at the University of London Bedford College in London, England.

Descriptions
CREATIVE MOVEMENT: 2-3, LEVELS: N/A
This combination class designed for pre-schoolers incorporates foundational ballet and tap movement, while simultaneously creating an entertaining and creative environment for its young students.
BALLET: 4+, LEVELS: BEGINNER, ADVANCED BEGINNER, INTERMEDIATE, ADVANCED
All elements of proper barre, center, adagio, and allegro are provided in each class. Ballet is the basis of practically all dance and is absolutely necessary for the technical development of a dancer. In addition, it builds proper posture, carriage, and discipline in the student.
Attire: Black leotard, pink tights, hair must be worn in a bun
TAP: 4+, LEVELS: BEGINNER, ADVANCED BEGINNER, INTERMEDIATE, ADVANCED
This class stresses, clarity of sounds, rhythm and technique training in the basic tap steps and combinations.
Attire: Black Leotard (black shorts or skirt is permissible), pink/white/suntan/chocolate tights, tap shoes
JAZZ: 4+, LEVELS: BEGINNER, YOUTH, TWEEN, TEEN, ADULT
Each class includes proper technique in stretches, warm-ups, isolations, center work, turns, jumps, etc. Emphasis is also placed on developing musicality, discipline and learning quality of movement.
Attire: Black Leotard (black shorts or skirt is permissible), pink/white/suntan/chocolate tights, jazz shoes/boots
HIP-HOP: 4+, LEVELS: BEGINNER, YOUTH, TWEEN, TEEN, ADULT
Hip-Hop classes provide an excellent work-out (aerobic style) while having fun. Students learn rhythm, coordination, isolations, and basic dance steps.
Attire: Loose comfortable clothing (e.g. sweatpants, t-shirt), sneakers
LYRICAL: 7+, LEVELS: TBD
Lyrical dance combines ballet and jazz techniques to physically interpret the lyrics of a song. A strong dance background is suggested for these classes. Dancers must take ballet with lyrical.
Attire: Black leotard, pink/white/suntan/chocolate tights, no shoes required
AFRICAN: 4+, LEVELS: YOUTH, TWEEN/TEEN, ADULT
Daphne's Divine Dance offers high energy, intense African classes for 8-18 year olds and adults. These classes explore West African and Afro-Brazilian movements. 3-D Studios also offers an African Fitness Class for adults.
Attire: A lapa, or piece of fabric worn like a skirt in Africa as casual wear and for dance ceremonies
SALSA: 7+, LEVELS: OPEN
This class focuses on the skills of timing, understanding of partner connection, and of leading or following techniques.
Attire: Black character shoes
ACRO: 4+, LEVELS: TBD
This class will center first on the basic elements and safety involved in tumbling and will continue to develop gymnastic skills according to the student’s level.
